June party

June party

Festivals of the Saints, party of the popular saints, mid-summer celebration is the period centered on the summer solstice (in the northern hemisphere) and winter (in the southern hemisphere), and more specifically on the celebrations of Northern Europe that occur between 19 June and 25 June. The exact dates vary between different cultures.
The Christian Church, however, designates June 24 as the feast day in honor of the Christian martyr St. John Baptist and celebrates St. John's Eve and the Birth of John the Baptist.
These celebrations are particularly important in Northern Europe - Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden - but also take place on a large scale in Ireland, Galicia, parts of the United Kingdom (especially in Cornwall) Italy, Malta, Portugal, Spain, Ukraine, other parts of Europe, and in other countries like Canada, United States, Puerto Rico, Brazil and Australia.
